Foundation participates in international festival on WW2

The Soviet Military Cemetery Foundation participates in the international online festival ‘Alle Grenzen van Nagedachtenis’ (All boundaries of remembrance). The festival will be held from 8 up to and including 10 May as part of the 75 years commemoration of the end of the Second World War. ‘All boundaries of remembrance’ is part of the international educational project GenExpo.

Three days long 75 speakers from over ten countries will talk on a virtual platform about their experience with research, difficult matters and their possible solutions. The audience will be treated to various experiences from Russia and other countries, opinions of researchers, activists, representatives of the genealogy sector and official agencies – everyone who engages in activities to keep the memory of the war victims alive.

At 16.00 hours on 3 May Remco Reiding will talk about his 20 years old search for the identity and relatives of the Soviet soldiers buried in The Netherlands, on behalf of the Soviet Military Cemetery Foundation.
