On 27 September 2021 it is exactly 80 years ago that 101 Soviet soldiers arrived at the Amersfoort railway station. Roughly half a year later after having been incarcerated in Kamp Amersfoort they were all dead. This week, in memory of these soldiers, who found a final resting place at the Soviet Military Cemetery, we publish a daily interview with an eyewitness. These people were traced and interviewed by the Soviet Military Cemetery Foundation and the films were made with the aid of donations from the city of Amersfoort, vfonds and Monuta helpt. Today part 2, Pieter Batelaan.
